The Great Chariot Challenge!  The new and innovative fundraiser at Swansea Campus!  All the students from Year 3 to Year 13 are working together in 6 teams to raise sponsorship to design and build a roadworthy chariot for a budget of just £80.  On 18 February, students, parents, friends and family will come together at Pembrey Country Park to test out the chariots.  A panel of judges will assess the teams and their chariots on:

  • The creativity of their design
  • Their performance during various endurance tests
  • The amount of sponsorship money they have raised
  • The amount of money they have spent

At the event, the tests will be split into two parts:

The Cross-Country Rally where the teams will have to work together to bring their chariot along a cross-country course involving terrains such as:

  • Mud
  • Grass
  • Tarmac
  • Gravel
  • Hills and potholes

During the rally, the whole team must be involved and at least 2 people must ride in the chariot at a time.

The Strength Tests which will be a series of challenges designed to test out the durability of the chariots.

The winning team will receive a monetary prize and the student who raises the most sponsors will receive a reward of £100.
