On 4 November Swansea Campus held a Motivational Awards Assembly.  The event included motivational speeches from ex-students and a visiting speaker, musical performances, presentation of OneSchool Gold, Silver and Dux awards, recognition of sporting achievements and delicious refreshments.  The winners were:

On Wednesday 23 November some of these winners attended the National Awards Day at Exchange Place.  The Double Gold awards and the regional and national Dux Litterarum awards were presented and every Dux Ludorum achiever was called up to receive their sporting trophy.  The event also included three student speakers, an external speaker and live music provided by York Band and Bramley Orchestra.  The day was hugely inspiring and motivating for students and parents alike.

The awards are judged on the following categories:

1. Involvement in School Activities

Adaptability, enthusiasm, encouragement, team spirit, inclusiveness

2. Leadership

Role model, responsibility, respect, consistency, acceptance, loyalty

3. Academic Achievement

Assessment results, perseverance, accomplishments, versatility

Persistence, understanding, focus, resilience, maturity

5. Management skills

Initiative, organization, co-operation, reflection, communication

This is open to any student, so make an effort during the 2016-17 school year and the award can be yours next year!
